Glass has such a diverse Glass is a medium that I have taken to now for several years. It bends and flows relative to the heat applied and surprises me at every turn. My current body of work has been inspired by Joel Sartore's (National Geographic photographer) photos from Birds of the Photo Ark. The colors portrayed in his photos have dazzled my interest in creating little vessels in my kiln starting with sheet glass and then creating movement in a rather static and rigid material by first fusing and then slumping. I have to give credit to Kelli O'Dell and Raven Skyriver for allowing me to finish my pieces in their studio.
